If we disregard the politics for a moment, the fact remains that women and children died horrifically and just maybe unnecessarily.
Does anyone believe there was no knowledge of the approach of the vessel? We have Customs and a Navy presence there.... Does anyone believe that no one knew of the boat till locals were alerted by the screams as the vessel was breaking up? we have even seen pictures of it intact prior to it hitting the rocks.... Couldnt someone have taken the initiative to head off the boat before the tragedy occurred, for the protection of the lives onboard? That is the question I'd like to see answered..... Someone may have been a bit lax.....
