I suppose it's debatable, but as i said on another thread. I think that they had data at hand which had to be released to the market. If they had released it on Monday morning when the USA were all in bed asleep then that would have disadvantaged the US investors and that is not what you would want to do .. Of course that assumes that there are US investors / Funds that are shareholders.
So your only alternative is to hold the release over until the following day, and the only way to do that is by asking for a trading halt. This is all an assumption on my part but if that was the reason then I am overly happy that we have USA funds / investors.... All just in my head of course, but the results are extremely good what ever the reason was behind the trading halt
