Depends how thick the soils are.
But to pegs if they exist, or to bedrock.
The soil cover will be thinner closer to outcroppings.
If they can identify faults, you can determine by land countour changes, fracturing, even changes in trees.
I always study trees, types, heights and where they exist and do not.
Different ground often hosts different trees, trees also like moisture.
If a hill has zero trees, and there is a patch of trees, often it is the case as moisture exists in that spot.
Where outcroppings exist, ,there is soil cover between many.
That indicates the soil cover in those places is probably less than 10m.
Pegmatites form at depth and with heat from volcanics, so it looks like over millions of years, most of the soils have been washed away.
The soils that yield Li, could have one source, outcroppings just under, over transported soils.
Ie. From outcrop area.
But if transported, there should be an oxidised layer to determine that.
Also if loose pegmatite in soils are rough, probably from location, if water worn, secondary to the place located.
In many ways Andover area is a godsend because magnetics will not identify deeply buried pegmatite like it can copper, gold, nickel deposits.
Lidar over the area would be beneficial actually.
