That's a big call to make. The Board has to afford CE procedural fairness, and CE is entitled to that too. The best course of action would be for the Board to afford CE a leave of absence with full pay and give him/them time to allow the procdural fairness process to play out. To be fair to CE, this would be a very anxious and difficult time for him, and perhaps he needs the mental break and shouldn't be in control of the company currently.
