I cannot see how the Greens policy advocated by you would stop boats taking the same perilous journey that the one did two days ago. I can only see that policy encouraging more boats, more drowning.
Where is your evidence for point 8? How and where do these people who come by air get their visas? Do you accept that it is not possible to enter Australia by air without a visa? Do you think that it's easy to get one with your claimed "mostly forged" documents?
You also don't seem to understand that people who "disappear" then have no access to medicare, other social benefits and usually can't get Tax File Numbers. Their existence is outside or at best at the edges of the community and is precarious.
The Greens policy is simplistic - what does "bringing them here" imply? A couple of jumbos every now and then picking them up from a depot in Indonesia? What do you do when the "few thousand" already there (ignoring the few million not yet in transit) becomes "a few thousand" every week?
It's a dilemma but the silly Greens don't have the answer.
