mr milner is calling for a ten fold increase to our refugee intake so we go pick them up and they dont have to get into boats, so just how long before this country will be a place where people flee religious and ethnic violence?

It seems the lessons from Europe and the UK are falling on deaf ears. Possibly Mr Milner only has his eye on more labor voters and doesn't really care about the impact this could have on Australia in the future.
This is absolutely NOT about racism, IMO. There are some religions (regardless of nationality or race) in this world whose goal is to infiltrate as many countries as possible with the intention of ultimately taking over including changing laws to suit their specific religion.
Once they are a large enough force, there will be little anyone can do when they set up their own political party and have either the numbers or balance of power to get what they want.
And then to be paid to reproduce when they get residency here and also large families are well paid by our friendly government. They must laugh at our stupidity.
IMO, we should be learning from what is happening in UK and Europe due to immigration policies.
