@TesterWA - solved my problem - and will use UBER again!
UBER are amazing!!! I eventually called a phone no. to a service center, got a very polite and English-speaking operator, got it all sorted over the phone - and it all worked like a charm. Pick-up from this somewhat remote 'suburb' went like a charm, Return vehicle came to the side entrance of theatre - both advised by prior text message, details of driver, (including Photo) car and number plate and make of car!!
I had invited a long-time lady friend, she was most impressed - and the whole lot was much cheaper than a taxi and for the first booking you get a $30 credit.
The opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" was something of a mix of beautiful music, the singing (male in falsetto, but beautiful) by the two performers was absolutely perfect, and the amazing 'acrobatics' by the Condemned Souls of Hades (the Underworld) - both by hanging upside down in a sling from the lofty ceiling of the stage and on the stage with up to 4 performers on each others' shoulders - left 'Cirque Du Soleil' for dead - Queensland dancers! all to roaring applause at the end. It was an event like I hadn't experienced for a long time!!! and my friend was very impressed, too.
I got home very tired and then wondered how those dancer/acrobats felt after a full 80-minute performance with no interval.
The human body can be amazing!
