I think the risk of large scale breakout of physical conflicts on the Korean peninsula is exaggerated.The major players will see to it that it does not happen. Since the cessation of the "Korean War", there had been some minor skirmishes and all were contained. The occasional war of words will continue, some minor (relatively speaking) physical confrontations will happen. That is about it.
But, don't expect this simmering instability to go away any time soon.
