vodafone customers seething over dropped calls, page-17

I went to my local Vodafone store on my lunchbreak today.

I spoke to one bloke about the poor network performance only to have him walk away and approach a person looking at new phones.

I stood there cross armed with a scowl on my face until a girl approached me to ask if I needed help.

After explaining why I was there, she proceeded to roll out every excuse and denial, and that it was probably my Blackberry Bold that was to blame.

I bought it at the same store in July 2009.

I know people with Nokia, Motorola etc that have the same problems.

After arguing with her, she proceeded to dial the "customer service" hotline.

After about 15 minutes the call finally got through. After explainig the nature of my problem, the bloke in the call centre said that the shop assistant had actually called the phone activation number and he would put me back in the queue. I declined, and believe me, my tone was less than concilliatory.

The shop assistant then said that I could cancel my contract if I paid a cancellation fee. I impolitely refused and stormed out with steam coming out of my ears.

    The bottom line?

I didn't get lunch and still have the same problem!

    To be continued............
