Sodge no matter what source is used to generate energy it still need to be transmitted to the user. Now a simple observation to all is the transmission lines were damaged. The problem in Broken Hill is that there were two back up generators in the system but for whatever reason and depending on who you belive one was out of service and the other could not cope with the demand needed. The silly thing is you already knew this but decided to use renewables as the problem because it looked good in your argument. BIG FAIL
