It’s funny / I have a number of spreadsheets calculating the optimal sale price if I had sold at a certain figure, paid capital gains tax, rebought with the remaining funds and taken out at a future buyout price..
I have kicked myself for not taking gains off the table, but it’s all hindsight.
I am lucky enough to have bought in relatively cheaply.
At $12, I would have been just ahead if I had sold at $20 and reinvested here, taking capital gains tax into account etc, however, I have realised there is no point looking backwards.
All we can do is make the best informed decision at any point in time.
i have historically sold early snd left many dollars on the table with previous investments and I said to myself I’m not doing that with Neuren. It’s special, and an opportunity I’ll be lucky to see again in my investing lifetime.
I’m holding strong to see this through and hope in future hindsight it will be the right decision.
just thought I’d share some Friday ramblings…
