The results are spectacular!
A 19 metre intersection of plus $350 rock.
They have now confirmed the depth extensions and are moving back to focus on more open cut ore.
So they have confirmed the potential for a long life mine of say 20 years even though they will not be mining underground
for some time.
Looking forward to receiving the updated resource model in the next few weeks and the revised feasibility study.
These will form the basis for serious financing discussions and a final investment decision next year.
The big question now is :Will the billionaire Indonesian Salim family swoop as it did with Rex minerals earlier this year?
The Salim group is one of the largest diversified groups in Indonesia and swallowed Rex in a few months.
There is a big difference between Rex's flagship Hillside project and KGL's Jervois project.
In my view Jervois is much better.
Rex was trading at 16 cents earlier this year and the Salim Group paid 47 cents.
The signature asset was a large iron oxide copper project in South Australia. The grade is 0.6 per cent copper.
The open cut at Jervois is three times the grade .In mining grade is king.
I do not want to see KGL taken at these levels as I think it could be worth around $1 a share.
It amazes me that brokers do not even cover KGL and institutions don't know it exists.
Salim has neatly used the underwriting exemption to increase its holding from just over 20 per cent to 35 per cent in
less than a year.
The takeover is already happening without FIRB approval.DYOR
