    Then you would have bought around the 6th April 2015, and you would have been very unlucky, or very unwise, or both.
    Given though, at that time EPS was around 180, WBC would have been trading on a PE of ~22, so I'd say it would have been more unwise than unlucky. In fact, on the buy side of those transaction, I'd say there would have been some that were rather financially gullible, not just unwise.
    Generally though, had you have bought at any other time other than around this peak, today you would be sitting on a capital gain or close to it, as well as banking (see what I did there ?) dividends that woulld broadly range 6 to 10%pa on your investment, when full Australian franking is added back (ie. divide by .7).
    But no doubt this historically factual position won't stop your emisis here, even as a non-shareholder, as it would appear you love to see your moniker lit up on this website.
