Putting all other grievances that you have aside, it sounds like you're questioning if there was really any pre-payments.
Why are some people forgetting the video and images of all the recent sea cargo that just landed. This was a huge sea delivery of supplies, materials, equipment and fuel for next season. I.e pre-purchased for use next year. I agree it would be great to itemize all this, but regardless it is real and does exist. As such it means that AW1 will kick off early and prepared in advance for a highly productive season next year imo.
Also I hear some suggest that the deeps were a waste of money and that the extra metres drilled should have went to more shallows. I get why people feel that way in retrospect, but any extra metres in shallows would not have been included in this years JORC as we are already well over the metres that will be included, hence extra shallows would not help sp in any way this year, whereas had they hit a nice deep this would have been an immediate rerating of the sp and everyone would have called it a genius move. It will still be used to help understand what lays deep below and guide future deep targets so to me it was not waisted as we already got well over the targeted 20,000m this season. So was worth the crack imo.
