I'm wondering how much they are willing to piggy back off existing technology in this area, vs thinking they need to redesign the wheel at a much larger time/cost. i.e. China has this technology already installed at scale and working. Don't get me wrong I see the benefit in the overall strategy, just I hope the strategy itself had some time/cost vs potential results analysis as well.
i.e. the residential vrfb that we have a mock up for really hasn't gone anywhere, so I hope they see real doors they can wqlk through when this progresses and not a dead end for the time and cost being out in.
I sound glass half empty but at the same time if our government or big energy players get serious with large scale storage then AVL having all of the expertise and resources to supply the whole kit and kaboodle is not going to be a bad thing. So likely this is essential work for what could be huge opportuntities down the line.
(side note where are the EPA reforms? 8 darn Months since an appeal lodged. Maybe the minister should start with projects that are on the cusp but currently lost in the EPA black hole?)
