Nope, companies will usually send core for analysis even if the visual indications are not that promising, especially on the first ever drill campaign, to get an indication of the values of many minerals which may be present to assist in understanding the geology.
Surprised this hasn't fallen further on this announcement, the big red flag is that they've moved onto exploring other target areas which were not part of the original program. Why a red flag, because if they were hitting it out of the park with the diamond drilling showing strong spodumene similar to AZS this would be clearly visible in the core, and if so they would be extending drilling on the initial targets along strike and at depth which is the normal course of events in such a scenario ie. only once they had a good grip on the extent of the 'discovery' would they move onto other areas.
A lot of hype still built into the share price at these levels, expect a a large % fall if results are poor in the next few weeks. Not wishing anyone bad here, and just my opinion.
