Suspicious is more accurate.

1) Their cap raise announcement specifically mentioned the funds were to be used for targets 1,2,7. Targets 3,4 were not mentioned which they are now planning on drilling as well. Each target area is substantial size strike length 500m to 1km. Diamond drilling over large strikes with multiple target areas is very expensive, Yes, they have funds from the recent cap raise but they are still a junior and can't throw around tens of millions on exploration like major companies. So, in the hypothetical event they have made a major discovery from their initial 3500 metres of drilling, which would be evident in the drill core already, the smart/usual thing to do would be to either announce a major discovery with a trading halt and show some fancy pics or wait until the assay results are received (without a preliminary announcement like the one today). Share price skyrockets in both cases, then raise even more for a full blown exploration campaign over the remaining targets. That's what AZS did. They haven't done this and rather gone for a non-market sensitive announcement and say they'll drill originally unplanned targets = suspicious imo.

2) If they have made a major discovery which would already be evident from the core, most Li companies would be forced to announce, because the onsite geos and drillers would be in the know, and considering the susceptibility of insider trading occurring, they would need to announce the preliminary core findings so the market is on the same footing as the insiders.
Considering they have chosen to wait for the assays without announcing any details of the drilling means either they've made a great discovery and trust insiders to keep quiet (unlikely imo), or know what they've found so far doesn't look too exciting.

All imo, I could be wrong, just some food for thought for those not wearing rose-coloured glasses.
