Western world track record building new 1000MW units these days is 30+ years from start to finish, yes you read it THIRTY PLUS YEARS as of 2024. So if we order today say 4 to 8 units they will be operational earliest say 2060 +/- two years .......... likely plus 5 years. Russians and Chinese manage to do it in 10 to 12 years but of course we will not buy their stuff.

Coal fired (Chinese) new units are off the assembly line, they fire up one or two(?) new 600+MW units every week last time I checked
You can not run safely a national grid without major baseload units, PERIOD. If you could Chinese would stop building them.
