Even if the modelling and structural analysis of the carbonatites delivers, they will be deep. Araxa and Luni, and all Nb mines, operate within supergene blankets of pyrochlore. All carbonatite mines (except Nolans Bore) operate in weathered carbonatites, except Mountain Pass, which is much higher grade than anything likely in these carbonatites to date. We'll see if hastings survives its debt dispute with Wyloo, so that's a TBD.
If KFM finds Nb or REE at depth, and it's fresh, it will have to be something truly exceptional. A metre at 2000ppm Nb, is not.
I was very keen on KFM a while ago, but I exited when the REE boom died and the company took forever to drill. It's looking very grim for the company right now. Guess it's better to relist as a biomed stock right now!
