Surely, from a religious point of view, "intelligent design" is a blasphemous concept. A kind of designer religious perversion.
Because the crappy book that nobody takes literally any more because it's full of unacceptable nasty stuff these days doesn't have any concept of "design" nor any concept of adaptation from the creation model.
It doesn't say god made all the critters and then they started to mutate under a pre-ordained "intelligent design". So they must all be the same as when they were created. Right?
But we know that species have adapted, have evolved even in our own lifetimes.
