Bird and phil you two just cant get it , It was allways a exploration well, drill into there lese to see what is there, run logs to help paint a picture, prove up a resourse with a few more wells and when they prove up multi trillion cubic feet of gas worth x billion take it from there, dont worrie about the 20 mill for this drill if they find gas the next 20mill it will come easy , pluged and abandoned sounds to harsh for you call it blocked and recorded for future planning ,the plan hasent changed except for the frrst drill location.If they do find gas you will be happy you were not smarter and stupidly nearly sold , good luck with it
