    Merry Christmas all.

Raauul, I will take the "even" intensive as a compliment and attempt to set the record straight for "Frank Luntz' clever phrase, "climate change""

Frank worked as a political consultant for Dubya Bush and coined the phrase "climate change" because of perceived connotations of fear surrounding the term "global warming". It is kind of ironic, the forces of reaction attempt to minimise a threat but the words they choose now haunt them. "Climate change" was written for global warming deniers but the phrase now has wide acceptance.

"Climate change" neatly includes the diverse effects of increased atmospheric heat retention. Increased energy in our atmosphere is driving more intense blizzards and storms. Even the current wetter, cooler season in Eastern Australia can be explained by the increased moisture holding ability of a warmer atmosphere.

Overall Earth surface temperatures are increasing but the largest increases are predicted for areas with low human populations. Hudson Bay in Canada for example remained almost ice free this year well into the Canadian Winter.

Apologies for my last garbled post. Christmas cheer would be the perfect excuse but unfortunately it was just a lousy shopping centre internet booth.

    Merry Christmas!!!

    Ho Ho HoOL!
