I think he won because of inflationary costs to the consumer in the USA, and because a lot of voters thought that MM was on the side of the working class in struggle street. Nothing could be further from the truth. Additionally, massive numbers of voters there do not know how tariffs work and thought that it will mean lower prices on goods. Again nothing could be further from the truth.

The border issue came in second btw.
Re "unfettered crime", you do realise that if you are talking about violent crime then that is untrue and just another media beat up. According to official FBI data the current rate of violent crime there is comparable to around 1970/1972 (400 violent crimes per 100,000 population). The real bad times were 1990 and 1996 (750 per 100,000).
