This issue normally generates two opposing points of view.

The first point of view is that it was the old management (CEO and board) and the class action is going after the wrong people. Also, even if the loan in question was classed as short term, can people say in a court of law that it would have changed their investment decision. Also, the share market has high risk (and high reward) that is life, so get over it.

The other point of view is that the company misled investors and shareholders by declaring a short term loan as long term (whether deliberate or not is irrelevant) and so should be held accountable.
