I believe the Uranium tends to form along weaknesses in the rock.So when you break of a rock chip it breaks along the zone with the Uranium ore. This means the fractured surface is coated with the Uranium ore. While the rock beneath the Uranium ore might contain nothing. When you use the XRF it will show you the grade of the surface/coating of the rock and not what is below. The assays will measure the whole rock chip. I believe this causes the discrepancy. The XRF is probably more accurate demonstrating what is possible in a drilling campaign at this location. I guess we have proved vein style uranium exists, and only drilling it will prove if there is a vein of a few millimetres or metres thick.
