Agree p1K, someone or some need to go, it is what happens like clockwork in this industry...and so it should with the dollars involved.

The problem here was that the well was not tested on the initial drilling in 2008. If it had been, the water issue would surely have raised its head then, and we may not be in this mess now.

I think this will be their problem with a decision to move to Yakal...bet they're wishing they'd tested it in 2008 after running the 7" liner...probably asking themselves "do I feel lucky, (huh, well do ya punk)"?

Boysy, they only need to give one months notice on the rig contract. I don't know about the FSO, but may be similar.

Maybe they will be able to sub-let the AD to end of contract...perhaps OEL could take it on to drill one of their limestone prospects.
