Youre right, it's probably not as clear cut as it possibly was. With that said, to prove that the new scanners will level the playing field will take a while to prove up, and for these companies to rollout the new scanners. In the meanwhile, cu64 may be up and approved and already taken the majority of the market.
And this isn't to say that potentially the new scanners can pick up cu64 at smaller stages than a comparative Ga68/F18, which the means it is still the better diagnostic. This may be a possible logical conclusion due to the fact that if these scanners are picking up Ga68 at smaller lesions as it is more sensitive to detecting, then cu64 could be picked up even smaller as it may have a better signal at smaller lesions; ultimately the amount of uptake in a lesion will determine how early it can be picked up.
