@mrdingo I concur completely. My wife and I decided to take a substantial position in Imugene around 7 years ago. Whilst we have taken some off the table along the way, the intent to hold has generally over ridden the temptation to call it time and crystallize an outcome, and at most times that was due to a consideration of tax amongst other things.
Early on we had good dialog with management and also felt the feeling of being in something great together. Sadly, over time the reception from management to any concerns became dismissive and then outright rude / total ignorance. My view is that this is directed by Hopper and I now hold the view that he has lost control of strategic direction and is fundamentally incapable of successfully running this or any other public company. This leads me to my next point, and that is that there is a simple decision for discontented shareholders being to sell and leave or stay and put up with the worsening failures, and finally to stay and force change. I’m certainly in the second or third category for now, and am leaning towards a push for getting rid of Paul Hopper from his position. It will be a large challenge to take on and may or may not succeed, but ultimately I hold him almost entirely accountable for the juncture we are at and he should be treated as such by all share holders who are concerned about the performance of their investment. Whether that ever becomes a powerful majority is the question. In the meantime ongoing messages of discontent to board members is a very necessary task from all shareholders who hold justified concerns about the chairman’s abilities and track record.
