    Moosey - FYI 29Si does NOT have zero spin it has 1/2 spin - that is the problem with it for quantum computers and why it must be elimination. The SQC technology operates on the spin of a phosphorus atom which must sit in a zero spin environment to obtain "coherence" from a phosphorus atom spin (qubits) see HERE. Natural Si also has a 30Si isotope which also has zero spin. As MG explained in the 2023 AGM SLX are seeking to remove the 29Si isotope (since this creates noise with the half spin) - removal of 30Si really is of little concern. The problem is that the v3 resonant frequencies of 30Si and 29Si are very close so to make pure 28Si (which is the objective for SQC (the baby (30Si) comes our with the bath water (29Si)) thus producing 99.998% 28Si (NOT 99.9998% - see slide 29 of the 2024 AGM pack) as the ZS Si product

    As you maybe aware in 2002 Silex did previously work with Sumitomo (Japan) (see HERE) - the purpose was to produce 28Si to provide improved thermal conductivity - this was later dropped on the grounds that it was uneconomic for regular semiconductors (it was later however vital later for silicon quantum computing) - this "saved" SLX in 2019 during their wilderness period - see HERE. What MG announced at the AGM was that the large Nvidia chips required for AI now had a need for the improved conductivity of 28Si for nano wires (heat pipe) on the chip (i.e these large chips with thousand of processor cores were getting too hot) - slide 29 of the 2024 GM deck shows this with the note:

    "A new emerging opportunity is also being explored – using enriched Si-28 in advanced conventional silicon chips (for AI, DataCentres and Cloud Computing) – potential to overcome power density and thermal overload issues – with Si-28 nano-wires (‘heatpipes’) being developed by chip designers and nano-fabricators"
