The second part for the trading halt is the price query response. When you get a price query (aka a 'speeding ticket') the company gets asked if they are sitting on any information that could explain the trading if that information was somewhere out in the market.
On the surface it would appear that they are admitting that there is and it is a potential joint venture. The question for us is who? They seem to be a potential partner worthy enough to drive the price up 60% in a day.
If it is Gina/SQM or other AZS partners from over the fence it could get interesting from here. However, that is pure speculation on my part.
