Is it worth paying that much for Anglo for a few beautiful copper assets then basically another s32 crap co attached? I’m not such a big fan which is why BHP has also been marked down on the risk they go after Anglo. The coal assets made sense and BHP didn’t go after them. They should have!!! Likely ESG being piled on it by pension funds stopped that.

Copper.. we have enough. Consider resolution will likely be approved again under trump with tax concessions. Add in the facts it’s probably the best undeveloped copper deposit in the world, albeit we only own 45%. So we have:

    1. SA copper hub expansion
    2. Escondida capex to sustain production
    3. resolution
    4. Argentina - filo JV

Do we really need Anglo? Rather our iron ore and coal cashflows not diluted. Plus we have Jansen coming too. Dividend please. Should have also bidded for Anglo coal assets, we had great synergies there the others didn’t.
