Fair point about the board. I have said on previous occasions that LT can't alone be blamed or praised for decisions as the board should be able to override him. Not sure that was happening at SLR but you would think with the extra 4 board members in VAU he would have less influence.
My decision on Cock Eyed Bob is based on the exploration results released in the Reserves and Resource Statement from Sept 22 as per below. CEB closed in Covid due to workforce shortages not lack of resources or at least that is what we were told. Given Covid is over and Gold is $1500 an ounce higher why can't it be resumed?
Let's not forget Mt Monger used to produce over 120,000 to 130,000 ounces per annum and the company/board/tonkin has let that slip to less than 100,000 ounces per annum.
The addition of higher feed from CEB and or Maxwells (which closed for same reason and has a similar resource) could easily add another 10,000 to 20,000 ounces to output from Mt Monger. Mt Monger had four underground mines going at one stage, now it has one.
@rowingboat If Leonora assets are going to be split from the other assets then why didn't RED and GMD merge and leave SLR out of it. It makes no sense to split the assets as it would just undo the RED/SLR merger. What's the logic here? The only way that split could be justified is if VAU was to be taken over by NST or another big fish that just wanted KOTH.
