A hundred years ago there were many advocating the horse & buggy rather than the motor car just as there are those now denying the future of EVs and their transitional HEVs & PHEVs. but I guess horseshit is horseshit whatever century you are in!
IMO PHEVs will gain market traction in 2025 as more Chinese models arrive at discount pricing due to US & EC import tariffs. For someone doing say 80 kms/day with the distance week end trips & home solar charging, then the PHEV is a worthwhile option .
