Bloody tomatoes are getting bottom rot, that is suppose to be due to lack of calcium but gees the garden bed is limestone.

Lebanese cucumbers have taken off, gave my son an heap a week ago, had not checked since and found these whoppers

Cutting back the parsley that is going to seen, saw some feather and first though was a dead chook, but no it was alive

We guessed it was broody so next question how many eggs is she sitting on, bloody hell 13 of then, yes one was not in the photo. All good size eggs and explains why I was not getting many eggs lately

That is a problem with Gold Laced Wyandotte, well any Wyandotte actually is that they tend to go broody. So two other Gold Laced Wyandotte are also broody, one I have put an elevated rack hopping that would stop her being broody, the other I found sitting on 3 eggs so I let her be. Tonight I will take some of the 13 eggs and up under the other broody hens, will make then so I can take out any new eggs.

The other chicks are growing nicely, only one that I think is a boy but they are only 10-11 weeks so bit early to tell but fingers crossed. With these chicks and the existing 4 hens and a rooster I am at the limit of 12 chooks the council allows to have though not as if the police it and no one has complained about the rooster.

Anyway looks like I might have a heap of chicks by Xmas, they may make good presents
