I checked Shortman for the 27th November 2024, it showed a drop of approx 16 million shares shorted. I checked the Share trading for that day and 2.5 million
shares were traded. Has anyone any ideas where the other 13.5 million shares came from to reduce the number of shares shorted?
This is not the first time its happened, makes you lose all confidence in the tracking of shares shorted.
So next week maybe it will indicate, NO shares shorted, or 500 million shares shorted.
People use this information, but it seems pretty unreliable to me.
