To me, the locals are too heavily reliant on NST. If the ties are cut, some respect will re-enter the area. Since Finlayson exited, the local consolidation seems to have ceased. One thing Barry said I agree with is that NST rip you off one way or another. They pay per ton of dirt without a gold price consideration being baked into what the third party receives, at least that's my understanding, meaning you lose the current upside gold price exposure, you'll receive a set per ton rate for feed, not profit based.
