Have to agree - Bowen is an ignoramus who is still on Ban the bomb marches from the '80's (along with Albo). Problem is that there are a few of them in the Labor party and many more in the greens. We could well have a minority Labor government kept in place by Greens support - thankfully Australia really doesn't rate in world politics - here on the west coast at least we have gas.
Your state governments (on the East coast) have even killed gas and Qld (even with a liberal government does not have the guts to back nuclear) or even uranium mining where they are attempting to remove the source of unprotected radiation (the natural ore body) into the ground water from unprotected ore body which have been emitting radon and leaching radium into the water table for 4.5Bn years (don't worry we are as misguided as you in the East over uranium mining) and Albo has just canned Jabiluka (by incorporating it into Kakadu) which is 300Mlbs (twice worldwide demand) and worth about US$22Bn (of national assets) because the few elders of the Mirrar clam (40 in total) consider that the polluting has a cultural significance which is only revealed to elders (not the clan) in ceremonies. They did the same to Coronation hill (now within Kakadu) a few decades ago that also had gold at 10g/tonne) - you can be sure that at Jabiru all the aboriginal will now be park rangers or unemployed.
