The discussions here about spending vs investing has really struck a cord with me. I bought NEU right out of uni off a recommendation from a girl I used to work with. What a life changing lunch break that was. 13 years later I am still here and 10x my initial investment, it was 20x only 8 months ago and the fall down to $12 was definitely not on my 2024 bingo card.
NEU has been life changing for me, just over 50% of my portfolio and definitely my crowning investment. But as the days go on, one wonders would I rather a buyout at $30 in the next 6 months or wait another 2-3 years to realise a $50-60 even $100 offer.
There is definitely more to consider than just the sum of money, it’s the time between now and then and what you’d potentially miss out on in those 2-3 years.
GLTA, I won’t be going anytime soon but it really does make you think. Thanks for all the insightful posts.
