This is something I would like them to provide clarity on.
Is the by-product of Uranium going to be processed and sold alongside with the gold, or is it going to be dumped in residual ore piles and treated later etc.
I trust the CEO with 22 years experience however, it is not like he is to dump all that uranium ore at $100 a pound into the local rubbish bin.
Just would be good to provide insight on that given Australian policy looking to change:
The Coalition (Liberal Party) has announced plans to lift the nuclear energy moratorium and develop small modular reactors (SMRs) or larger nuclear plants if they are elected. They have identified seven former or retiring coal plant sites across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia as potential locations. The Coalition aims to have the first reactors operational by 2035 for SMRs or 2037 for larger plants
Some other article extracts as well:Countries Expanding Nuclear Capacity: Nations such as France, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom are leading efforts to expand nuclear capacity. For example, the U.S. aims to deploy 200 GW of nuclear power by 2050. Similarly, France continues to rely on nuclear power for about 70% of its electricity and plans further investments
.
Newcomer Nations: Countries like Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and the Philippines are developing their first nuclear power plants, with plans to use nuclear for both energy production and economic development. Azerbaijan recently signed agreements to explore nuclear energy as part of its clean energy mix
.
Global Commitments: At the COP29 climate summit, 31 countries, including Poland, Hungary, and Romania, pledged to triple nuclear energy capacity by 2050. This aligns with the growing recognition of nuclear power as essential for meeting the Paris Agreement goals.
