Thats quite a strong start to the C wave from 3.55 to 2.86 which is all or part of Wave 1 of C.
At some stage this wave will bottom out and typically 50 to 61.8 percent of the losses are recovered.
This normally is quite a sharp 3 wave recovery causing bulls to get excited again but the ensuing wave 3 is deeper and stronger with little opportunity for bulls to recover losses.
Wave 3 is likely to include gaps down and is typically a minimum of 1.618 extension of Wave 1 so could be more than $1 .
Gaps are typically on the back of profit warnings .
