I agree with you about the silver. I dont think it will ever do any anything fantastic. I have a few reasons for this view. I am in the print trade and we used to use film which carried a lot of silver. No one uses film anymore. Even in cameras. Nobody has silverware on their shelves anymore. If you were to buy 1million dollars in gold you could keep this in your bottom drawer. The same dollar value in Silver you would have to have a room. Let alone trying to transport it. Why would you bother buying large amounts? Silver although being the most conductive metal in the world, corrodes, so it's not used in electronics any more. Very little use except for jewelery. I've held RMS for years as well, but not as long as you. I still think it has a way to go and would pick gold over silver anyday....
