What is the hurry to lock in a deal at rock bottom graphite prices. Especially now that tensions with China/USA can only result in higher demand for ex china graphite.
If they can keep working in the background to do as much as possible now, when graphite demand increases, we are ready to move quickly and profit.
RNU has done alot of ground work over the last few years and is a low cost operation. What explorer is going to succeeded if RNU fails. People say, we have to compete with Africa and its low cost mining/questionable environmental protection. Well, looks like we dont have to worry about SYR right now.
Sure, china can keep pumping $$ into making cheap graphite for now, how long will it last. They have successfully stalled RNU, and probably quashed multiple explorers or would be graphite explorers. Given themselves a good head start anyway. Cant last forever (imo).
Things have turned very quickly in the past.
