HB, I agree entirely re SA. It's a basket case now. Giant multinationals might be able to make a profit in a place like that but less well connect players are too easily robbed.
Same reasoning applies to Russia, the ex-Soviet states, most of Africa, pockets of Asia and probably much of South America. I think that living in a country like Australia we can easily forget how business is really done in most of the rest of the world. Remember AWB? Howard and Downer knew how deals get done in dodgy countries... Not that they ever admitted to it.
