Hi Harg
Your attempting to use logic. I fell into the same trap a fair while ago. My logic made sense but it was completely useless as to a timeline. Still is.
Patong's post showed a CEO who double his salary in one year at the same time as his assembly line workforce went on strike for 7 weeks for a pay rise.
So they were prepared to build nothing for 7 weeks. I think then that the penny finally dropped that their skilled trained workers without pay for 7 weeks may indeed start to move on to other jobs elsewhere in the US. So they came up with an acceptable pay offer, but it took them long enough.
I've put logic into the wishful thinking basket and mostly rely on charts.
We rely on Boeing have a look at their chart.
Notice that they were paying a regular handsome dividend $US 2.05 right up to Feb 2020, sure Covid caused some issues but they totally failed to adapt since. The SP has basically halved.
In my second Airbus chart for the same period is that you can see, they also took a hit due to Covid and then recovered and are now well above the pre-covid levels.
Backing up my theory that Boeing is mis-managed, unreliable and essentially incompetent. They are struggling to deliver their basic aircraft to customers, let along making design safety improvements into them.
My current logic used when relying on anything from Boeing is "I'll believe it when I see it." I let the recent CR pass me by.
With the SMN chart you can see that after Boeing failed to deliver our next step in Oct ( as anticipated) the SP is weakening. Then a CR at 52 cents.
Nov revealed nothing and we are half-way through Dec. Seems unlikely that anything will surface before the Christmas shutdown.
Just my opinions, DYOR
cheers Lies
