Let‘s assume that happens. And the day after, what? Why should such a consortium fare better than SYR did under the prevailing market conditions? This would need to be an undertaking much bigger than just an acquisition of all or most of SYR. Without a truly game-changing commitment, how to fast-break a Chinese monopoly built over at least a decade (maybe more, I didn‘t check). Hard for me to see that happening without support by strong governmental resolve.
