You're 100% correct about "were gazumped by something nearly as good".

Despite what falacies the BoD want to tell investors about "no known competitors in this space", the truth is even Intrinsic Semiconductor are partnered with imec to development RRAM memory with similar specs to what 4DS are claiming. That doesn't take into account the companies in the MRAM space that also claim to achieve similar technical specs. Keyword here is... claims.

So if you're an interested buyer, who do you go with if everyone are making the same claims, but all are refusing to release any technical data?

The answer is, you're going to go with the company that is first to demonstrably prove their technology beyond a reasonable doubt and has the best economic outcome... meaning you want more than a press release, ASX announcement, or powerpoint presentation which is all that exists currently.

Ask yourself, what has been done, is currently being done, or will be done to prove and demonstrate that these memory cells when fabricated into a megabit array can solve a specific problem that the industry and companies are looking to solve?

Our BoD with their public comments of wanting this "done and sold" as soon as possible gives off a vibe of desperation, not a "shrewed business man". As much as ALL of us want this done, the company (the chief executive) needs to have the mind set of taking this as far as packaging the chips and developing it into a prototype product to prove it over and above competitors. Even I would support a CR for this purpose. Only then will they maximise the value of the company when it sells.
