It is still early days to pin-point the exact CAPEX figure, let's not squabble over a billion here and there.
The amount is small compared to the revenue of $40b. The price of potash is far more important. I understand contracts of $550/t are being written compared to the price of $350 that is being used in calculations. If $550 is going to be the norm, we are looking at a revenue of $62b.
With global warming,leading to heavier rainfalls and washing away soil nutrition, greater usage of fertilizers are anticipated, pushing potash prices up - giving a revenue in excess of $100b a distinct possibility.
So, friends, $1b (expected) or $3 (high side) Capex, would not matter much.
