Looks like you are missing the point here, HCW's significant debt burden of $1.6 billion is a major concern. Recent reports suggesting that insurance companies asking doctors to change hospital with $500 referral cash payment add to the company's challenges.

While HCW's major shareholder, HCM, has raised funds through an IPO for digico, their ability to rescue HCW in the event of a Healthscope default remains uncertain. The potential impact on HCW's share price could be difficult to guess !

Furthermore, HCW's role as a property owner and lessor introduces additional risks. Finding suitable tenants, particularly in a challenging healthcare environment, could be difficult. Additionally, the potential for legal and financial complexities in the event of a Healthscope default adds to the uncertainty.

HCW & UHF, bought hospital from MPW which is NYSE listed REIT related to hospitals in US now MPW graph looks like below, so while US & AU has different medical system the point is when things go bad to ugly the graph won't stop for anyone not even for HCM ! Also, if you notice last 5 "Buy" signal on the chart were nothing but dodgy trap for those who bought MPW at that time.. !!!

I do remember HCW has some sort of default rights, but remember if default happens then you can exercise your rights but who will run the hospitals? HCW can't start running hospital next day which means it goes through legal, commercial and plenty of other options including sell but all those thing will take time and impact on share price is something i let people to guess.

HCW is not hospital operator, so it needs to find another lessor who can only take over after all legal paper work goes through and obviously any buyer of those 11 hospital from healthscope wanted discount on purchase plus discount from HCW

it is going to be interesting time as @Chris60 said. so i am watching and trading only.
