chil - does the US issuing bank have to have the stock on hand? All transactions are on "paper" arent they i.e. there will be no transfer of ownership of PRR FPO's to any US holder - less the issuer?
The issuer carries a risk if they need to buy to the AUS market in the hope that the US picks them up - would thought given thier role they may not take on risk at all? Just some revenue along the way somewhere. That being the case, the bank will but after the US buys the ADR.
Feels like Im chasing my own tail. Only time will tell.
