Budget deficit at $27b , if they stopped algorithm/ bot trading investigated some of the corruption and manipulation on the ASX I reckon a turnaround in capital losses by retail mum and dad investors would put a nice little dent in the $27b. I certainly won’t be paying any tax in the next couple of years and very likely the Federal income from this will keep the budget in deficit again next time around not to mention the price manipulation of the resources being exported from our miners by the Chinese. Would love to see the spreadsheet on the difference between 2022 - 2024 with regard to profits from the likes of PLS, MIN, WES etc and retail investors CGT.
